LAST DAY TO REGISTER EXTENDED - FRIDAY, MARCH 13th!
We welcome all Beginners with little to no experience in
4th - 8th Grade (Ages 9-14)
Our Spring Break Learn to Sail week is a week of fun on the water! Each new sailor will learn the fundamentals of sailing: rigging a boat, basic knots, launching from a dock, sailing the boat on their own through local bays and waterways, retrieving the boat, and proper maintenance. We also utilize the US Sailing REACH Curriculum to enrich our program and incorporate STEM principles (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Sailors MUST be able to swim 50 yards. A swim test will be giving the first day.
Sailors need to arrive each day prepared to sail! We require each sailor to bring:
· Refillable Water Bottle
· Lunch (No refrigeration is available on site)
· U.S. Coast Guard Approved Type III Life Jacket (Personal Flotation Device) with whistle attached
· Closed-Toe Shoes to be worn at all times!! (No Crocs or Flip-Flops allowed on land or on water)
