STEAM in Sailing

STEAM in sailing week is based off the US Sailing STEM curriculum, called REACH. Utilizing the sport of sailing, the students will explore and apply these academics to their sailing and exploring. 

The REACH program is an educational platform, challenging youth to embrace education, establish a love of learning and explore productive Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) in sailing. We use the full curriculum to explore the environment, weather, wind, tides, etc. all while sailing and being safe on the water.

Ages 9-14

Prior Sailing Experience a Must

We will have class on July 4th with a cardboard boat race!

LUNCH IS NOT PROVIDED

Cost $450/sailor

Sailors need to arrive each day prepared to sail! We require each sailor to bring:

·       Refillable Water Bottle

·       Lunch & Snack (No refrigeration is available on site)

·       U.S. Coast Guard Approved Type III Life Jacket (Personal Flotation Device) with whistle attached

·       Closed-Toe Shoes to be worn at all times!! (No Crocs or Flip-Flops allowed on land or on water)

·       Sunscreen

·       Excitement to learn new things
